Seasonal Sales Assistant Shop and Tills

Seasonal - Part Time (to include weekend availability)

We are currently recruiting for Sales Assistants to work within our shop and tills team from September - December. The role will involve operating tills and providing exceptional customer service which enhances sales and customer satisfaction. Supporting other departments as required, and assisting with garden centre tasks such as recieving and processing deliveries, stock managemnet and admin. This vacancy is for a part time casual role with weekend availability.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Serving customers.

• Operating tills and cashing up when required.

• Restocking product lines within the retail area.

• Receiving and processing deliveries.

• Maintaining products and fixtures to keep them in pristine condition. 

• Ordering and re-ordering of relevant products, where required.

• Assisting with other garden centre tasks as and when required, including cleaning and maintenance tasks.

• Supporting other departments, as required, including any reasonable duties within that department.

General Duties:

• Ensure that health and safety regulations are observed at all times.

• Promote the image of W. D. Smith & Son and encourage team working across the business.

• Ensure professionalism and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

• Attend relevant training and take responsibility for own development.
