We're thrilled to announce that electric vehicle charging is now available at Meadow Croft Garden Centre – part of our ongoing commitment to making your visit more convenient, eco-friendly, and enjoyable. Thanks to our partners at Opcharge UK, you can now top up your EV while you shop, dine, and play! 

Charge While You Enjoy All We Have to Offer

With the installation of two 7kW Compleo UK eBox Professional chargers, it's easier than ever to stay charged while exploring the garden centre, relaxing in our restaurant, or enjoying a round of mini golf with the family. 

We've also laid the groundwork for future expansion by installing additional infrastructure, including blanking plates where new chargers can be added – so we're ready to grow alongside the EV community.

Convenient Ways to Pay for EV Charging

We know that ease of use matters, so we’ve made charging simple and flexible with multiple payment options to suit your preferences:

1. Scan to Pay

Just scan the QR code on the charger with your phone and pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or your debit/credit card—no apps or forms required.

✔ Fast, easy, and contactless.

2. Roaming Card

Sign up with a third-party roaming service to receive a tap-to-pay card by post. Use it to start and stop your charging session instantly, with a monthly invoice and detailed receipts.

✔ No pre-authorisation needed.

 ✔ Great for regular EV users.

 ✔ Simple session tracking.

Charger Availability & Parking Etiquette

To avoid any confusion: some of our chargers currently feature ‘EV charging coming soon’ blanking plates. Only chargers without a blanking plate are active and ready for use.

We kindly ask that these dedicated EV spaces be kept clear for actively charging vehicles only, so all visitors have fair access to this new facility.
